Sebastian escorts Jim out of the psychiatric wing disregarding the doctor’s recommendation to keep the patient under observation. He was confident he could take care of his boss himself.

 The following day as the daylight floods the room of the studio, Sebastian stumbles in to witness a barefoot Jim standing in the middle of the room. His dynamic gesticulation and mesmerized gaze remains fixed upon the light source a few feet above him as if it was the most fascinating thing that ever existed. Irene pays them a visit.

 

Irene: Jim? (turns to Sebastian) What happened to him?

Sebastian recalls the booming sound of a gunshot on the rooftop and spaces out. He cannot risk letting this get out so he tells her a lie. “He’s fine…just a little high. I’m keeping watch…What do you want?”

Irene turns back to gaze at the consulting criminal and cringes; Jim turns to her, winces and continues on with his wild mannerisms. Sebastian escorts her out the door and she hands him a file before leaving. He walks back to the kitchen reading the report to find it’s just another job and dumps it on the table

Sebastian suddenly turns to an agitated Jim and tells him to finish his breakfast. “Finish your breakfast for Christ’s sake!”

Jim whines and mimics an infant’s impression of a monster as he stares off into space.

Sebastian continues eating his breakfast and just stares at his boss; he’s feeling distressed by the whole situation but he knows he cannot fix this.

Jim turns away and whimpers softly. He refuses to look at the yelling man and hides his face in shame thinking he did something wrong. He presses his head to the wall and sways, occasionally, bumping his head rather forcefully on the brick wall.
